ABOUT ROUNDTREE VISUALS: Recent Projects

HEALTHCARE AVATARS

Roundtree’s most recent work focuses on interactive learning activities using avatars. Samuel Merritt College, Oakland, CA and Roundtree Visuals are partnering in the development of the College’s first interactive game introducing students to simulation based learning for all health sciences.

INTERACTIVE AND COMMUNITY-BASED ART PROGRAMS

In 2008, Roundtree launched the first interactive healthcare display of its kind in the U.S. Using a 5’x7’ glass screen embedded with hologram film, she designed an interactive template where images and information appear to float in space, creating a soothing environment. She is currently developing a digital interactive learning environment for a hospital neo-natal waiting area. Community members upload personal stories and family photos to a website, where their contributions are merged into a design template, and displayed in the hospital’s neonatal waiting area on a wall monitor.
